Since 1998 we have been supporting the effort by the U.S. Army to
destroy the nation’s stockpile of chemical munitions. Our
specific focus has been to provide independent certification of
the construction of the disposal facilities built for these activities
in accordance with the design specifications, drawings, applicable
codes, and permit conditions established by the responsible regulatory
agency.
In 2002, we also began working on the first-of-a-kind certification
for the closure of the chemical agent disposal facility on Johnston
Island in the South Pacific Ocean. In addition to professional certification,
we also offer technical consulting services on issues related to
performance testing and permitting issues associated with all types
of chemical demilitarization facilities.
Our professional
staff receive and maintain special inspection certifications
(ACI, ICBO, or state certifying agencies) in specialties such
as reinforced concrete, structural steel, electrical, mechanical,
and plan review. Our field personnel are also given continuing
training for certification in Army Corps of Engineers construction
quality control, confined space entry, fall protection, OSHA
construction safety, hazard analysis, hazardous waste handling
and first aid/CPR. All personnel are encouraged to be computer
literate and to maintain skills in various types of computer
software applications.
