| April 29, 2011 – Dr. Fred C. Cooper, PE, President and CEO of Cooper Zietz Engineers, Inc. (CZE) announced today the merger of CZE and Cascade Design Professionals, Inc. (CDP). This merger brings significant depth to CZE’s existing engineering team, and formally cements a long-term business relationship between the two firms. Under the merger, CDP will operate independently as a division of CZE. Dr. Cooper will become CZE’s Chairman of the Board, and CDP Founder Herb Fricke, PE, will assume the role of President and CEO. Paul Kluvers, PE, has been named CDP General Manager. “By bringing our firms together after several successful Joint Venture projects, we will capitalize on the opportunity to cross-sell our services to existing clients and expand our capabilities, adding expertise in site planning, civil and structural engineering,” said Dr. Cooper. “This acquisition caps years of planning and working together and will allow us to enhance services to our existing customers in Indian Country and throughout the U.S.” |
